Hough celebrates the homecoming nominees at halftime.
Hough beat Garinger by 72 points at the homecoming football game on October 9, 2026. The stands were packed with fans in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Huskies came off a bye week to beat the 2-8 Garinger High School. In the first half, Jamarion Morrison and Mason Pearsall-Brown both got in the end zone, contributing to the Huskies' 58-0 lead at the half. The Huskies scored 16 points in just the first five minutes, including an impressive 80-yard kickoff return touchdown from Cameron Jones and a brilliant Davion Jones touchdown.
During the halftime show, the Homecoming court nominees took the field. The Huskies’ quarterback, Ethan Royal, won Homecoming King. Amy Marjani won Homecoming Queen. Piper Alison won freshman homecoming court, Charlie Klotter won sophomore court, and Ila Hagerman won junior court.
In the second half, the Huskies cashed in 14 more points and gave a few of their backup players an opportunity to step onto the field. Because of the huge score gap between the two teams, they didn’t stop the clock for the entirety of the second half. The game was Hough Football’s 7th consecutive victory, and they remain undefeated as the defending NC State Champions! Our last regular-season football game will be played at Hopewell High School on October 26th, so buy your tickets and go support Hough!
